Zap Mama and ALO Confirmed to Join SCI at the Sea Of Dreams
 We are pleased to announce that Zap Mama - the remarkable all-female a cappella quintet founded by Zaire native Marie Daulne - will be performing their special brand of urban “afropean” music on December 30th and 31st as part of the Sea of Dreams New Year's Celebration.
Zap Mama capture hearts wherever they appear. Their joyous a capella mix of Pygmy music, Central African and Arabic pop tunes, human beatbox sounds, AfroCuban rhythms with a touch of Soul and Gospel, is unique by any standards. With beautiful multi-part harmonies alive on top of full band and dance mixes, their entertaining, humorous and energetic performances are truly stunning.
 Also, California's rapturing funkateers Animal Liberation Orchestra will perform on December 31st!
Part musical explorers, part pop songsmiths, all-around dynamic performers, ALO went national after opening for Jack Johnson through the summer of 2005. Holding tight to their garage band energy that makes every one of their shows an event rather than just a performance, they lay down soulful melodies and swirling improvisation over precision funk grooves night after night.

After
a hugely successful inaugural event last year, Madison House,
Anon Salon, and Peak Experience Productions will collaborate
again for the Seventh Annual Sea
of Dreams New Year's Eve event.
Like
last year, cultural forces will unite for two freaky nights
at the San Francisco's Concourse Exhibition Center for the
biggest New Year's-weekend gathering on the west coast. Expect
three stages hosting an incredible roster of live bands -
plus cabaret and circus acts, DJs and dance collectives, performance
troupes, and more. All set within multiple thematic environments,
this event promises something for people of every tribe.
Musical
acts performing on the three stages include the groundbreaking
independent rock band The String
Cheese Incident (playing two full sets each night),
British nu-school breaks producer Tipper,
revolutionary underground artist Bassnectar,
modern day traveling minstrel DJ Mark Farina, the down-tempo trip-hop dance music
of Lotus, a veritable confectionery of exquisite novelties from Circus Contraption, live electronic
hipsters Pnuma Trio (featuring live performance painting by J. Garcia) and
plenty of others still to be announced.
Performance
troupe and dance collective participants include The Indigo Belly Dance, The Mystic Family Circus, Black and Blue Burlesque, Anon
Salon's Cirqularious, and others. In addition to
the stage performances, expect art encampments, novelty zones,
installations, midnight spectacles, supergames, and everything.

In turn, our New Years festival venue is being transformed into a magnificent space station dancehall/temple and you are all invited to attend as Intergalactic Ambassadors of Goodwill. Our mission is to create a vibe that is yummy enough to unite benevolent beings from across the Universe to celebrate with us on New Years Eve.

Sea of Dreams 2006 Food Drive
 The Conscious Alliance is proud to announce another food drive for the Sea of Dreams NYE. For this very special event, world-renowned visionary artists Robert Venosa and Martina Hoffman have created a limited edition 3-D lenticular Poster!!!!!! Nothing like this has ever been released by The String Cheese Incident or the Conscious Alliance, so don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity!
Every patron that donates 20 non-perishable food items will receive the poster for free. Donation Bins will be located outside of the main entrance to the venue where a volunteer will provide a poster redemption voucher to be exchanged for your free 3-D poster at the Conscious Alliance Gallery, located inside the Sea of Dreams.
All food donations will benefit the San Francisco Food Bank. Donations of Ramen Noodles will not be accepted.
