EXPECTATIONS
STREET TEAM A group of music freeks who want to do everything in their power to help their local music scene grow, to help their favorite artist(s) expose their music to as many people as possible, and to create a healthy and productive relationship between the community of music listeners and the musical artists they love. We need creative, hard working, innovative and accountable people who are interested in the music industry.

WHAT TO DO: Distribute stickers, posters, flyers, cards and other promotional goods at local concert events, record stores and other places where music lovers are likely to be found. Post banners, email friends, post on message boards and tag the web with our artists' music. Be our eyes and ears by providing regular feedback about the promotional and marketing missions we set forth.

EXPECTATIONS SCI FI Artists are in need of a street team for a myriad of essential activities that promote both their musical performances and albums.

1. ON THE STREET… your local record shops, lifestyle stores (your friendly head shop, skate shop, hemp clothing store, fun gift shop, etc.), coffee shops, campus "hangouts," community/campus message boards, and many more are ALL sorely in need of SCI Fidelity paraphernalia. Posters and handbills can be downloaded from the internet or sent to you from your fantastic Street Team Coordinators.

    • Once armed with materials, visit your preferred promotional stops and plaster the heck out of it! Try heading back in a week or so and see if your posters/handbills need refreshing.
    • Checking to see which and how many of SCI Fidelity albums are stocked at any particular record shop is extremely helpful, especially when you tell the clerks they should carry the album if they’re not

    • Sometimes, be it weather or hangover, hittin’ the streets is not conceivable. In that case check out the list of local radio stations are artists have been added and give them a call, make a request. In fact this is helpful ALL THE TIME, so keep those numbers handy, especially when a new album is released.

2. OUT FOR A NIGHT - your much loved local bar, the next show your heading to, a show where like-minded music lovers will be, and basically any where attracting music lovers should be pounced upon by street team-ers. Every person in attendance should be politely handed (and possibly explained) a handbill promoting a show or album, or both!

    • These are two excellent sites that will tell you what shows are coming up in your area (handbills can always be handed out at the beginning or end of shows if actually attending them is not going to happen)

3. INTERNET - on-line chat rooms, discussion lists, message boards, community "happenings" sites, local music sites, on-line radio stations, college community sites, putting a banner on your (or your friends) web sites, and anything else you can do to expose SCI Fi artists on the internet!

4. FEEDBACK - the most essential aspect of street team-ing!! Please fill out a feedback report in order to receive credit for your efforts (in fact, it’s the only way to receive any product/tickets in exchange for your hard work)
